ZIP codes are used for geographic matching which is great if you are in the US but doens't work so well elsewhere of course. There is an option for international seraches but they say it is offline and will be back in a few days, but I think it has said that for a while! Plenty of profiles but you have to "ask" the person before you can see their picture in the profile. Either asking or emailing people needs you to register but that is for free.
