think pretty much all dating sites are a scam and have been
since they were invented  |

I don't think they start out being scams, but it's so hard to make it work that people (who run the sites) are always tempted to make things look better than they are.
The line between "marketing" and "scam" gets pretty thin and most of them seem to wander over eventually. |
