Whew! I was just on amatuermatch.com, and it’s a little warm in here! The site bills itself as “the sexiest adult dating community”, and they might just be right. This is an adult site, which means frontal male and female nudity is allowed in their ads, so keep the kids away.

This site makes no pretense that it’s for people looking for commitment and long term relationships – the only thing you have to be committed to is having a good time with someone with the same ideas as you.

If you’re a single male or female looking for another single partner of the same or opposite sex, if you’re a couple looking for an extra partner, you can find them here. They don’t have couples looking for other couples – what’s up with that; swingers need love, too. Though I suppose they have that covered in the box that asks what you’re looking for. In that box you can state if you’re looking for cybersex, email or photo exchanges; or something more hands on like a 1 on 1, discreet, or group sex scenario.

The site is somewhat pricey at about $25 per month, but with over 600,000 members, you’re likely to find someone, somewhere who will answer your needs and you can spend much more than that in a month on dates that get you nothing but an “I’ll call you” and “Let’s be friends.”

A free membership will get a free profile with 5 photos. You can search the database of members to see if anyone (or certain parts of anyone) pique your interest. You can view other members profiles, and enlarge one of their photos so you can see the goods better. You receive instant messages and email, but you cannot initiate them.

A paid membership gives you unfettered access to receiving and sending messages; you also can get into the chat rooms, adult videos, cartoons, and stories, and the toy store. All kinds of fun. That $25 isn’t sounding so pricey anymore!

The down side of this side is reports of poor tech support, very delayed transmission of emails and sometimes non working IM.  In addition there is talk of them holding back emails to you until your membership is just about to run out to motivate you to stay on!

I’ve heard the same thing about other sites and it’s hard to tell how much of it is deliberate cheating and how much is just bad technology.
